According to the Meteorological Department, the people of Delhi will not get relief from the cold for 2-3 days. However, the Meteorological Department says that due to Western Disturbance, there may be an increase in temperature from January 8. The department said that on January 7, the temperature of the capital can remain 5 degree Celsius, while on January 8, it can remain 7 to 9 degree Celsius, as well as there is a possibility of fog.

Apart from Delhi, cold wave continued to wreak havoc in UP, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be a possibility of severe cold wave in these states in the coming days. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has also expressed the possibility of rain in the coastal areas of the country.

Pathankot in Punjab and Kanpur in UP were accompanied by cold wave this morning and dense fog also prevailed. On the other hand, in Guwahati, the capital of the north-eastern state of Assam, people were seen resorting to bonfires to protect themselves from the cold wave. Due to the fog here, people had to face difficulties in movement.

Possibility of cold wave in these districts of Madhya Pradesh

At the same time, in Madhya Pradesh too, it is shivering cold. On the morning of January 6, fog covered the districts of Indore, Jabalpur, Anuppur, Katni, Bhopal, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Neemuch, Dhar, Jhabua and Burhanpur. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of severe cold wave in Gwalior, Chhatarpur and Datia. Apart from this, the department has also expressed the possibility of frost in Chhatarpur and Datia. The lowest temperature of 2.8 degree Celsius was recorded in Nagaon of the state. Talking about the capital Bhopal, cold day was recorded here for the sixth consecutive day. However, people definitely got some relief from the fog during this period.
