According to the information received, 6 people died on the spot in the tragic accident of truck and bus. While 15 people are said to be seriously injured. The accident is said to have happened on the Kapurai Bridge National Highway in Vadodara. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot, the injured have been admitted to SSG Hospital, Vadodara. Where his treatment continues. Medical Officer of SSG Hospital, Dr. V.L. Assistant Commissioner of Police G D Palsana said the Mumbai-bound passenger bus rammed into a container truck while trying to overtake it at 4 am. The ACP said that, 4 people died on the spot, while 2 succumbed to their injuries during treatment at a government hospital.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident took place when the bus driver tried to overtake a container truck carrying wheat and at the same time the truck applied brakes. The driver of the container truck fled from the spot after the accident. Police is on the lookout for the container truck driver.
