Digital Desk, Amravati. A 32-year-old software engineer from Andhra Pradesh died on Sunday while on a trekking trip in the US.

Ganguri Srinath, a resident of Guntur, died while trekking in Atlanta. The software engineer, who has been working in the US for the past six years, had gone trekking in Atlanta with his wife and friends.

According to information reached to Srinath’s family, the incident took place on Sunday in Cleveland Mountain Hills. While trekking in the mountains, he accidentally fell down about 200 feet. He died on the spot due to a deep head injury. Srinath and his wife Saicharani, also a software professional, were working in Florida. The couple moved to Atlanta about six months ago.

Srinath was the son-in-law of Sukavasi Srinivasa Rao, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader from Guntur. The software engineer’s parents Malleshwari and Babu Rao are shocked to learn about his death. The family has appealed to the government for help to bring the body home. Srinivasa Rao is in touch with Telugu Association of North America (TANA) president Anjaiah Chowdhary and other officials in the US to make arrangements to bring the body to Guntur.
