In this connection, Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager, Northern Railway, inspected and reviewed the railway works going on in the Kashmir Valley on Thursday. He stressed on the early completion of the project.
Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager, Northern Railway, is on an inspection tour of the ongoing rail link projects in the Kashmir Valley. Gangal on Thursday also continued his inspection of the ongoing works on the prestigious Kashmir Rail Link project with the CEOs of Northern Railway, Konkan Railway and various executing agencies and reviewed the ongoing construction works. He stressed on the speedy completion of this ambitious national project.
On Wednesday, he visited and reviewed the construction works of tunnel number-13 and 14 and bridge number 60 of the project located in the internal places in the Swalakot area of Reasi district.
After this, on Thursday, he reviewed the most critical works between Katra and Reasi block section, including the country’s first cable-stayed bridge in Anji Khad, Mega Bridge No.-39 and Tunnel No. T-1, reviewed the construction works. .
He then directed the officials of Northern Railway and Konkan Railway to closely monitor the project and complete the works expeditiously within the stipulated target.
It is worth mentioning that two days ago, the excavation work of 161 km of the 272 km rail route of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla rail link project has been completed.
The work on the remaining 111 km route between Katra and Banihal is progressing at a fast pace. Gangal stressed on expeditious completion of this ambitious project to connect the Kashmir Valley with the Indian Railways network.
